Telephoning is easy in Cambodia. If you don’t have your own phone, the internet shops and most guesthouses offer internet phone. If you have a phone you can pick up a Cambodian SIM card with phone number and internet access at any of the many phone shops scattered across town and even on arrival at the airport. At stands just outside the arrival terminal SIM cards are available for as little as US$1 or even for free. You’ll need a passport and valid visa to buy a SIM card.
Phone shops offer a variety of services including SIM cards and phone sales, repairs, unlocking, accessories, etc. Phones aren’t particularly inexpensive in Cambodia, but you can still get a cheap one for as little as $15.
How to telephone to/from Cambodia
Cambodian telephone numbers are usually listed beginning with a ‘0’ (for example: 023-000000.) The first three numbers represent the provincial area code or mobile phone system. When dialing domestic, dial the entire number including ‘0’ (for example: 023-000000) When dialing international to Cambodia, use the country code but exclude the ‘0’ (for example: +855-23-000000). When dialing international from Cambodia, precede the number with a gateway code such as 177 (for example: 177-662-251-0000).

Internet
Internet access in Siem Reap is inexpensive, widely available and of moderate speed. There are still some internet shops and cafes located across town and priced around 1500-3000R per hour. But these days most of the hotels, guesthouses and many of the restaurants and bars offer free wifi access.
Post Office/Mail
Main Post Office Located on Pokambor Av. (river road, west side of the river) Open 7:00-5:30 everyday. Offering seemingly reliable general postal & parcel (EMS) services and domestic and international telephone. Philately enthusiasts take note, sets of modern and historic Cambodian postage stamps are on sale in the lobby.
Shipping Services
If you would prefer to ship those souvenirs home rather than carry them, there are a few international package/parcel services in Siem Reap that can assist. The shipping services not inexpensive, ranging from $50-$100/kg for small parcels to as little as $15/kg for very large shipments, depending on the destination. EMS Shipping, available at the post office, offers different classes of shipping with delivery periods ranging from days to months, the slower class at significantly lower prices.
